The Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) regularly meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Planning items at the BoCC are generally scheduled at 10:00 a.m. in the Board Room at the Delta County Administrative Building.
Planning Commission (PC) regular meetings are scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the Delta County Administrative Building. The PC considers certain types of projects for recommendation to the BoCC: Preliminary Plat (3+ lots), Conditional Use Permits, Land Use Code Amendments (including rezoning), and Master Plan Amendments.
Board of Adjustment (BOA) regular meetings are scheduled on the 4th Thursday of each month, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the Delta County Administrative Building. The BOA considers certain types of projects: Variances, Appeal of Administrative Decision/Determination. Decisions by the BOA can be appealed to the BoCC.
The Director of Community Development and Natural Resources (Director) has authority to consider Administrative approval of certain types of projects: Zoning Permit/Site Plan Approval, Minor Plat (2 lots), Replat, Boundary Adjustments (plus County Surveyor), Lot/Boundary Line Adjustments, Administrative Modifications, and Determination of Use Not Listed. Where there could be material impacts and/or disagreements, the Director may refer Administrative matters to the PC for recommendation to the BoCC. Decisions and determinations by the Director can be appealed to the BOA.
